THE BEST Romance manga you'll ever read

01.31

I'm not really into shoujo or romance thing, and I mean it. Their stories are just boring, the girl loves the boy or vice versa, in the end the mains characters are either married, happily ever after, break up, or dead.

Watashitachi shiawase na jikan [Our Happy Times]
But today I want to post my favorite shoujo and Josei mangas, that are MUST READ !!!!

Here is the list :

Taiyou No Ie [ The House Of The Sun ]

[Synopsis]
Back in the day, this place
was a house of magic
a place filled with both tears and laughter.
Surely,
there must've been wizard living here.
Or so I used to think.

What's a young child will do when her mother leaves her father for another man?
Or when her father remarries a woman who brings along a child from a previous marriage?
Or when her childhood neighbor friend invites her to live with him?

Taiyou No Ie [The House of the Sun] is a story about family, about a girl named Mao that was "running away" from her house after being 'pushed away' by his father, about a guy named Hiro that was struggling to rebuild his broken family, about Mao's gratefulness because Hiro accept her as a family, and Hiro's gladness because Mao liven up his empty days.
After being pushed away, Mao was 'temporarily-adopted' (aka living together aka they can do everything in the house) by Hiro, her childhood friend that was 7 years older. Yea I skipped most of the romance thing but you know, being serious, this manga really hits me hard. Like how an asshole like her father, hurts too. and Nina, despite being the cutest Nakamura's, has her own deep scar. A must read because it gives you the perfect example for us to see people from another perspective, and you won't realize how beautiful this manga is until you reached the end.

Watashitachi Shiawase Na Jikan

Synopsis
"I have something I don't want to lose"

"So much so that these terrible feelings have grown."

A pianist who attempted suicide 3 times, Juri, is taken to help her aunt at a prison where murderers who killed indiscriminately are sentenced to death. There, she meets a man named Yuu who took the lives of 3 people.
Together they embrace the violent rebellion in their hearts caused by the large, deep scars they carry. However, before long, they both embrace an earnest hope in their hearts. "I want to live"...

It's not shoujo, it's Seinen. AND IT'S THE BEST ROMANCE MANGA EVER. Guess because it was originally a novel, no exaggerating scene here, every panel ugh just hurts a lot idk anymore bye. everytime i read it, I cry (yes, till now)

LIFE

[Synopsis]

Ayumu Shiiba is studying for the all-important high school entrance exams. She is struggling to get by, but thankfully has help from her best friend Shii-chan, who is at the top of their class. Test results come back and their friendship falls apart when Ayumu surpasses Shii-chan's scores and gets into her high school of choice while Shii-chan doesn't!
Losing Shii-chan is so painful for Ayumu that she starts cutting her wrists for comfort. Hoping for a fresh start, Ayumu arrives at her new high school and finally opens up to a new friend, Manami. But will Manami prove to be the friend that Ayumu truly needs or send her further in a downward spiral?

If the fact that the main characters are struggling really really really hard through this crazy bullying didn't move you, then I don't know what will.

COELACANTH

[Synopsis]

Ten years ago, there was an explosion at Hisano's apartment building. She would have been there, but she'd been hit by a bike ridden by a boy in blood-stained clothes. He dropped a fake gem when it happened, and she's been hanging on to it as a good-luck charm ever since.

Now Hisano is in high school. One of her teachers was murdered, and the police are investigating. A young man suddenly appears carrying the toy the gem belonged to. And perhaps... can he also see the hallucinations Hisano has always been plagued with? Everything is connected as the pattern slowly rises to the surface.

The synopsis explained everything, huh? The messages of this manga are kinda similar to Taiyou No Ie, with more dark vibe and shorter chapters. I've read it so many times and yet I haven't bored with it.

ORANGE

Synopsis

One day, Takamiya Naho receives a letter written to herself from ten years in the future. As Naho reads on, the letter recites the exact events of the day, including the transfer of a new student into her class named Naruse Kakeru.

The Naho from ten years later repeatedly states that she has many regrets, and she wants to fix these by making sure the Naho from the past can make the right decisions—especially regarding Kakeru. What's more shocking is that she discovers that ten years later, Kakeru will no longer be with them. Future Naho asks her to watch over him closely.

I repeat, I don't like shoujo, with it's bright and moe and things that won't happen in our life, but this manga is kinda cruel, you see. I mean, imagine the 26 years old Naho and Suwa, writing a message to their 16 years old selves, that means they wouldn't have a child or even married. Oh god.

SKIP BEAT

The story revolves around a young girl named Kyouko who went with her childhood friend, Shou, to Tokyo to pursue his dream of becoming an idol. Despite her supporting him, she overhears him dismissing her as a boring wallflower. Furious, Kyouko vows to get her revenge by defeating him in the entertainment world.

I ABSOLUTELY love Kyouko and how skeptical and disgusted she is with the word "love" !! It's comedy but at the same time, it gives you deep thoughts.

OK, that's all for now, actually here are some more mangas that I kinda like but it's not in my top favorite, so..

oh, and sorry if most of the recommendations below are a quiet dark...
